Senior Sub Editor to be based in Karachi for a leading media Agency. The ideal candidate should be a high-caliber, hardworking and creative.

Senior Sub Editor is responsible for checking, editing, rewriting and finalizing news stories, features and copies to ensure accuracy, clarity, grammar, style, and adherence to editorial policy before publication

Job Responsibilties:

• Copy Editing & Finalization: Prepare, edit, and finalize newspaper copy/page
• Accuracy & Style: Ensure accuracy, grammar, style, and objectivity
• News Selection: Select, prioritize, and verify stories before publication.

Requirements:

• Excellent command of English and Urdu
• Strong news sense and current-affairs knowledge
• Proficiency in InPage, InDesign, MS Word and a CMS (WordPress or similar)
• Ability to work under deadline pressure, including night shifts
