Assistant Manager HR – Employee Relations job is available in Karachi for a leading News & Media Agency. An ideal candidate must have Master’s / Bachelor’s degree along with 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in employee relations, labor law compliance, statutory contributions, and disciplinary procedures.
Assistant Manager HR – Employee Relations job role is to manage employee relations matters, ensure statutory compliance, and oversee disciplinary processes in accordance with Pakistani labor laws.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Statutory Compliance & Benefits Administration:
- Manage the registration of new employees with the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution and the Sindh Employees’ Social Security Institution, as applicable.
- Calculate monthly statutory contributions, prepare challans, and ensure timely submission to avoid penalties.
- Prepare and submit EOBI pension cases for employees attaining 60 years of age, including complete documentation and follow-up until approval.
- Facilitate employee claims for sickness, maternity, employment injury, and pension/gratuity benefits.
- Maintain statutory records and ensure readiness for labor inspections and audits.
2. Disciplinary Management & Labor Law Compliance:
- Ensure HR practices comply with relevant provincial labor laws and standing orders.
- Draft and issue Show-Cause Notices, Charge Sheets, Explanation Letters, and Warning Letters in accordance with legal requirements.
- Conduct and facilitate Domestic Inquiries while ensuring due process and proper documentation.
- Maintain disciplinary records to mitigate legal risk.
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of EOBI and SESSI procedures.
- Strong command over Pakistani Labor Laws.
- Experience handling EOBI pension cases.
- Strong communication skills in English and Urdu.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).
- High level of confidentiality and documentation skills.
