Group Manager Taxation

Group Manager Taxation job is available in Karachi for a leading News & Media Agency. An ideal candidate must be CA / ACCA qualified professional along with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in corporate taxation, including income tax, sales tax, withholding tax compliance, tax audits, and dealing with tax authorities.

Group Manager Taxation job role is to oversee and manage all taxation matters of the organization, ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, supervise tax filings, handle tax audits and assessments, coordinate with tax authorities and advisors, and lead the taxation team to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance

• Ensure timely preparation and filing of all tax returns including Income Tax, Sales Tax, and Withholding Taxes in accordance with applicable laws.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure company compliance with updated requirements.
• Coordinate Finance staff to ensure proper deduction and deposit of withholding taxes as required by law.

Tax Assessments and Audits

• Handle tax audits, assessments, and inquiries from tax authorities, including liaison with legal counsel.
• Coordinate with external tax consultants, auditors, and legal advisors where required.

Litigation and Regulatory Matters

• Manage tax litigation matters including liaison with legal counsel.
• Track ongoing tax cases and ensure timely compliance with legal requirements.

Team Management

• Supervise and guide taxation staff in their day-to-day activities.
