An ideal candidate must have B.Tech degree or DAE Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical along with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in operating and maintaining industrial generators.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Generator Operator<\/strong> job role is to ensure safety and efficient operation, maintenance, and monitoring of power generation equipment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct routine plant inspections, checking temperatures, pressures, and fluid levels for engines, auxiliaries, cooling towers, and tanks.<\/li>\n<li>Control generator output to ensure proper phase, frequency, and voltage are delivered to electrical panels.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and ensure the proper operation of all running and standby machinery.<\/li>\n<li>Perform detailed inspections of generators, cables, control panels, breakers, pumps, cooling towers, water transfer systems, and other power generation equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate logbooks, registers, and reports, documenting operational data and abnormalities.<\/li>\n<li>To check the values of PH and TDS after every hour and log it into the log book &amp; maintain these values with in their required limits.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and maintain all system parameters.<\/li>\n<li>Document completed scheduled tasks and any abnormalities observed during your shift in the logbook. Verbally brief the incoming shift about any relevant issues.<\/li>\n<li>Perform cleaning tasks on engine and panel filters for gas engines.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct weekly battery gravity checks for all engines.<\/li>\n<li>Manage transitions between K-Electric supply and gas generator supply, and vice versa.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare daily chemical solutions for dosing.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with system operators to regulate and coordinate line voltages, transmission loads, and frequencies.<\/li>\n<li>Place standby emergency electrical generators on line, in emergencies and monitor the temperature, output and lubrication of the system.<\/li>\n<li>Assist senior personnel in performing scheduled maintenance tasks (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly).<\/li>\n<li>Replenish and replace lube oil, lube oil filters, and turbo filters.
