Proofreader job is available in Karachi for a leading Media Group. An ideal candidate must have English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field along with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in proofreading, especially within classified and legal advertising, and possess strong command over Urdu, English, and Sindhi.
Proofreader job role is to meticulously review and edit advertisement content to ensure accuracy in language, formatting, and compliance with legal and editorial standards before publication.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review all advertisement content for grammatical, typographical, and formatting errors.
- Ensure all ads comply with legal and editorial guidelines prior to publishing.
- Verify accuracy of layout and design elements, including spacing, alignment, and font consistency.
- Utilize proofreading tools and software, including InPage, MS Word, PDF markup tools, and ad booking systems.
- Collaborate with the editorial and ad booking teams to clarify and correct ad content.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements for classified and legal advertisements.
- Ability to work under pressure and in rotating shifts
Skills:
- Proficiency in Urdu, English, and Sindhi (both written and reading comprehension).
- Excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting skills.
- Hands-on experience with InPage, MS Word, PDF markup tools, and ad booking systems.
- Strong understanding of legal ad requirements and publication policies.
