Translator job is available in Karachi for a leading Media Group. An ideal candidate must have Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass communication or related field along with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in translating advertising, public notices, classified ads, legal notices, and tenders across Urdu, English, and Sindhi. The candidate should demonstrate strong linguistic skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with publishing tools such as InPage, MS Word, and PDF editors.
Translator job role is to convert advertising materials, public announcements, classified ads, legal notices, and tender documents between Urdu, English, and Sindhi, ensuring precise language use, cultural sensitivity, and adherence to formatting guidelines for publication.
Job Responsibilities:
- Translate written content between Urdu, English, and Sindhi for various ad formats including legal notices, classifieds, tenders, and public announcements.
- Ensure linguistic accuracy and maintain the intended tone, style, and meaning of original content.
- Adapt content to be culturally appropriate for the target audience.
- Maintain formatting consistency and adhere to ad layout standards.
- Proofread and edit translated materials to ensure grammatical correctness and terminology accuracy.
- Work collaboratively with the editorial and booking teams to meet tight publication deadlines.
- Use translation and publishing tools (InPage, MS Word, PDF editors) effectively.
- Follow established norms for legal and tender publishing.
- Must be available to work across multiple shifts as per operational requirements
Skills:
- Proven proficiency in Urdu, English, and Sindhi (both written and reading comprehension).
- Strong attention to grammar, tone, terminology, and regional language nuances.
- Proficient in InPage, Microsoft Word, PDF editing tools, and familiar with ad booking systems.
