Accountant

Accountant job is available in Karachi for a leading Business Management Consultancy Firm. An ideal candidate must have Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Finance along with 4 to 6 years of experience in financial auditing, bookkeeping, and tax calculations, with an eye for detail to spot and correct numerical errors. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely reporting on the financial position, liquidity, and cash flows while complying with all relevant tax and regulatory standards.

Accountant job role is to manage all aspects of financial transactions, from handling fixed and variable expenses to reconciling accounts and preparing budget forecasts. Candidates with experience in the service industry are preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage high-volume accounting transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare and review budget forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Publish and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements promptly.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable and ensure timely payments.
• Compute taxes and manage tax filings, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
• Maintain and manage balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial documents.
• Conduct audits of financial transactions and procedures.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of financial data and conduct regular database backups.
• Report on the company’s financial health, liquidity, and cash flows to senior management.
• Comply with and reinforce internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements.

Skills:

• Proficiency in bookkeeping and account reconciliation.
• Knowledge of tax calculations and compliance.
• Budgeting and forecasting skills.
• Expertise in financial reporting and statement preparation.
• Strong attention to detail for spotting and correcting errors.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
