Area Sales Manager job role is achieving sales targets, expanding market presence, and ensuring the effective implementation of sales strategies.

Job Responsibilities:

Continuously hunt and search for new potential retailers in the assigned territory in order to expand coverage and achieve growth of the business.
Keep the system updated.
Continuously improve the effectiveness of PJPs of Order Bookers to provide cost effective and optimum service to trade.
Ensure the trade assets deployed by the company are well maintained and effectively utilized.
Set unbiased and potential based Category, Brand and SKU wise targets for DSRs.
If there is any Incentive going on, provide visibility of the same to DSRs.
For routine discrepancies between system & physical stock, the reconciliation should be carried out daily/weekly.
Maintain record of market return accumulated at distributor end and monthly reconcile balance.
Ensure distributor has deployed agreed resources and vehicles to make supplies in the market.
Ensure Sales Team expenses are prepared, checked, signed & dispatched by the deadline.
Ensure Distributor Claims are prepared, checked, signed & dispatched by the deadline.
Conduct regular meetings with the distributor and keep them motivated to achieve targets.
Ensure that the employees are making reasonable ROI in the business.
