An Ideal Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Telecom/CS/Engineering along with 2 to 3 years of experience in the relevant field.
Assistant Manager OSP Planning job role is to review and finalize designs prepared by contractors for large FTTH requirements and small pockets designs to meet urgent commercial needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review and finalize ODN design prepared by design contractors.
- BoQ verifications and Budget loading recommendation in the light of finalized design
- Technical knowledge of GPON and industry standards for OSP implementation.
- Prepare project tracker and keep records of all projects
- Co-ordination with the survey and design team for the selection of right kind of ODN components.
- Verification of BoMs in the light of locked ODN design
- Detail knowledge and hands on experience of design software including ArcGIS, Autocad, and google earth
- Coordinate & extend technical support to network deployment teams, regional planning, and operational units to acquire necessary interfaces in timely manner.
- Detail knowledge and hands on experience of FTTH network design and deployment
- Should know how to create templates for external communication design.
- Develop an internal communication system that includes a store item tracker, project templates, and Capex reports.
Skills:
- Understanding challenges to the telecom industry, specific to FTTH domain
- Knowledge of the new advancements and technological changes in the telecom sector
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to OSP planning
- Ability to identify potential risks in OSP planning projects and implement strategies
- Continuously seek opportunities to optimize and enhance OSP networks for improved performance and efficiency
- Team player
- Should be familiar with MS Office
