IT Administrator

IT Administrator job is available in Karachi for a leading management consultancy firm. An ideal candidate must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with proven experience in IT administration and system maintenance. The ideal candidate should possess a broad range of technical expertise, including but not limited to database management, network administration, virtualization, security, and web development.

Responsibilities:

• Database and Network Management: Utilize experience with databases, LAN, WAN, and patch management to ensure optimal system performance.
• Manage network servers and technology tools effectively.
• Implement routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF, and other routing protocols.
• Oversee multiple firewall configurations and implementations.
• Virtualization and Cloud Management: Proficiency in Veeam and VMware Enterprise virtualization.
• Handle online and offline migrations seamlessly.
• Manage cloud resources and services effectively.
• System Setup and Maintenance: Set up user accounts and workstations, ensuring smooth onboarding and access.
• Monitor system performance and proactively maintain systems according to requirements.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and outages promptly.
• Security and Backup: Ensure system security through access controls, regular backups, and firewalls.
• Possess knowledge of system security, including intrusion detection systems and data backup/recovery procedures.
• Web Development and Operating Systems: Understanding web technologies, including WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
• Ability to create LAMP, XAMPP, and other development environments.
• Specialized Environments: Create and manage an Oracle Apex environment, following comprehensive steps.
• Generate reports using Jasper Reports and BI Publisher.
• Proficiency in SQL and PLSQL.

Skills:

• IT administration and system maintenance.
• Industry certifications (e.g., Cisco, VMware, CompTIA) are a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
