Head of Export job is available in Karachi for a leading manufacturing company. An ideal candidate must have Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in supply chain with certification in PIFFA & FIATA as an added advantage. 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in overseeing and leading all export-related activities in large-scale organizations is required.
Head of Export job role is to oversee and lead all export-related activities within an organization. Ensuring compliance with export regulations, and optimizing export operations for maximum efficiency and profitability.
Job Responsibilities:
- Following up production plans with planning for dispatch.
- Handling all air / sea export documentation, following up on rebates
- EE statement on the end of FCY.
- Updating records for custom for audit purposes, making reports on weekly basis
- Identify and prioritize target international markets based on market research and business potential.
- Establish long-term and short-term export goals in alignment with the overall business objectives.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing export team, including export managers, sales representatives, logistics coordinators, and compliance officers.
- Provide guidance and direction to team members to ensure they meet or exceed export targets.
- Conduct market research to identify market trends, customer preferences, and competition in target export markets.
- Ensure strict adherence to export laws and regulations, including export licenses, trade sanctions, and documentation requirements.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance procedures to mitigate risks and ensure legal and ethical export practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international distributors, partners, and clients.
- Negotiate contracts, agreements, and terms with international customers.
- Coordinate and optimize export logistics, including transportation, customs clearance, and warehousing.
- Develop and manage the export budget, including forecasting revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Maintain accurate records of export transactions, including contracts, invoices, shipping documents, and compliance records.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Certificate in PIFFA & FIATA
- Skills on PSW / WEBOC
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data for strategic decision-making.
- Proficiency in using export-related software and tools.
