Dispatch Assistant job is available in Karachi (Port Qasim) for a leading multinational manufacturing company. An ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s / B.Com. degree or DAE diploma with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in Logistics, Shipping, and Distribution Operations.
Dispatch Assistant job role involves monitoring outbound containers, coordinating warehouse activities, loading and unloading, stock management, packing of finished goods (FG), verifying and reconciling orders, and ensuring timely, high-quality, and accurate deliveries to customers while adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and relevant standards.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Logistics department, assisting in the efficient coordination of logistics and dispatch operations.
- Monitor outbound containers, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with shipping requirements.
- Assist with warehouse support activities, including overseeing inventory levels, stock replenishment, and maintenance of storage areas.
- Coordinate the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper handling and safety measures.
- Manage stock levels, including tracking, ordering, and organizing inventory.
- Participate in the packing of finished goods (FG) for shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Verify and reconcile orders to ensure accuracy and completeness, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Liaise closely with the logistics team to schedule deliveries, optimizing routes, and ensuring timely customer deliveries.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of dispatch activities, including order details, delivery schedules, and any issues encountered.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure deliveries meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Adhere to company SOPs and applicable industry standards to maintain a high level of service quality.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of dispatch and logistics processes, identifying areas for efficiency enhancement.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
Skills:
- Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably in logistics or dispatch support.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in using office software, such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management systems is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize responsibilities.
