HR Manager job is available in Karachi for an MNC. Master’s / Bachelor’s degree is required with 8 to 10 years of experience in HR functions and payroll services in large-scale global organizations.

HR Manager job role is to establish a greenfield site in Karachi, Pakistan. The HR Manager will be responsible for establishing all HR and payroll services, practices & processes as well as supporting the business in a hiring ramp-up, onboarding program and establishing BAU practices.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-country expertise on a wide range of HR matters to guide Group management (HR & Executive Committee) and shape organizational effectiveness in the setup and establishment of the Pakistan office
  • Develop and embed HR practices that support local needs as well as Group Management & reporting requirements, including but not limited to KYE
  • Create and deliver a local plan that actively develops talent, capability, performance, engagement and delivers a culture in line with company’s vision and values.
  • Establish and embed hiring and onboarding processes to ensure the new office develops a strong local culture that embodies the company’s Vision & Values
  • Provide guidance and advice on all local compensation matters and implement approved remuneration and benefits.
  • Create people data and insight, analyze trends and issues to actively work on solutions to improve performance to ensure continuous learning of the right “model” for the Pakistan office and to identify improved processes.
  • Support all line managers with PK teams to understand local practices & requirements when managing their OK team
  • Work consultatively and provide expert advice and support to PK line managers in all BAU HR matters including but not limited to absence management, performance management, grievances etc
  • Provide common sense and project steering through people plans within operations
  • Operate at a strategic level with senior managers to ensure plans are created and delivered, and to drive engagement when leading their teams
  • To plan and deliver ‘people’ related projects to ensure successful practices and processes are implemented and embedded
  • Build effective relationships with senior managers and be a source of advocacy for the implementation of the project.

 

Skills:

  • Experience in leading a HR function in a greenfield set
  • Experience in implementing payroll & benefits programmes essential
  • Experience in overseeing/supporting volume recruitment is essential
  • Demonstrable ability to conduct day to day business in English (written and verbal communications) is a must.
  • Proven experience in working with and influence senior and middle management
  • Proven experience in driving and managing change within the business
  • Project management
  • Able to operate in a change environment with ambiguity
  • Broad knowledge of Employment law legislation and HR practices
  • Strong knowledge of Sindh regional & Pakistan federal employment law essential
